COSMOS INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE has a magnificent building surrounded with a good environment where the students get fresh air and nature. The building has a number of classrooms, which are well spacious, soundproof classrooms with modern technological facilities to enrich the teaching. This will facilitate a higher degree of learning as well as interaction between faculty and students.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab
A Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab is a specialized facility for researching and developing drugs. It focuses on discovering and developing new drugs, ensuring their quality and safety through analysis, and improving their efficacy and delivery methods. The lab is equipped with analytical instruments, synthesis tools, and general lab equipment. Safety is a top priority, with strict adherence to PPE guidelines and properchemical handling.
Pharmaceutics Lab
A Pharmaceutics laboratory is a specialized facility where students and researchers learn and experiment with the practical aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing, formulation, and evaluation. The lab focuses on the design and development of different dosage forms like tablets, capsules, ointments, creams, and injections. Students gain hands-on experience in formulating these products, conducting stability studies, and evaluating their quality and efficacy.
Pharmacognosy Lab
A Pharmacognosy laboratory is a specialized facility where students and researchers study medicinal plants and other natural products. It focuses on understanding the physical, chemical, and biological properties of these substances. In this lab, students learn to identify and authenticate crude drugs, extract their active constituents, and evaluate their quality and safety. The lab is equipped with microscopes, analytical instruments, and other tools necessary for studying plant anatomy, phytochemistry, and standardization of herbal medicines.
Social Pharmacy Lab
A Social Pharmacy lab is a unique space where students and researchers delve into the social, economic, and behavioral aspects of pharmacy practice. It focuses on understanding the impact of societal factors on medication use, healthcare disparities, and public health. In this lab, students learn to analyze health policies, conduct surveys, and engage with communities to improve medication access and adherence.
Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab
A Human Anatomy and Physiology lab is a specialized facility where students explore the intricate structure and function of the human body. Through hands-on experiences, students dissect preserved specimens, examine anatomical models, and use microscopes to study tissues and cells. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, students gain a deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology, laying the foundation for future studies in health care and related fields.
Computer Lab
We have a well-furnished and well-ventilated computer lab. There are thirty computers in our lab. There ids separate cabins for staff and students. There are sufficient chairs available. Internet facility is also available in our computer lab.
Museum Room
A pharmacy museum is a captivating space that
showcases the rich history and evolution of pharmacy. It offers visitors a glimpse into the past, present, and future of medicine and healthcare. Visitors can explore ancient apothecary jars and equipment, early pharmaceutical texts and manuscripts, vintage drug advertisements and packaging, and early microscopes and laboratory glassware. The museum also showcases historical pharmaceutical machinery and tools, dried plants and herbs used in traditional medicine, ethnopharmacological artifacts and cultural significance, and contemporary drugs and their development.
Library & E-Library
The Library in Cosmos Institute of Nursing
has having adequate number of books for students and lecture referral. Also, we have plenty of journals for students’ reference. Which help them to enhance their knowledge in various areas of the health care profession. Our library is managed by a qualified full-time available librarian to guide students in various aspects. In our institute, we have an emphasis on the E-Library facility so that students of our institute can go beyond the available books to enhance their knowledge.
